This product is hand-finished. To maintain its appearance, simply wipe clean with a damp cloth after use and store dry. If necessary, hand wash and dry immediately after use to prevent water spots and rust.

For items that contact food:
They have been seasoned with a food-safe oil/wax blend. We recommend treating your ironwork the same as cast-iron cookware. Wipe them down and dry them off after each use. As necessary, apply a light coat of food-safe oil. For optimal results, warm your items with a hairdryer or heat gun; this technique ensures the wax penetrates deeply for long-lasting protection. Be sure to wipe off any excess.

For items that do not contact food:
They have been hand-rubbed with the traditional blacksmith finish and baked on to add durability and for added penetration and/or an acrylic clear coat. Wipe them down and dry them off after each use. Over time, you may need to apply a thin layer of high-quality paste/furniture wax or clear acrylic spray paint, which can be found in almost any hardware store.
